OLMC School Weekly News

August 25

Dear OLMC School Family,

We made it through our second week of school, and everyone seems to be adjusting to their new schedules.  We have one more week of 2 p.m. dismissals.  We will begin regular 3 p.m. dismissal on Sept. 5.

I want to remind everyone to please return the agreement page of your 2017-2018 Parent/Student Handbook.  Everyone should have received a handbook in their family envelope at orientation.  For those of you who ordered yearbooks, they would have been in that envelope.  If you did not receive a handbook, please pick one up in the office.

Please note in the handbook that students must turn off their phones upon arrival to school.  Students may wear watches, including Apple watches, or Fitbits, but they cannot be connected to a phone while at school.  If you need to get a message to your child during the school day, you must call the school office.

We have begun collecting plastic lids from soda or water bottles.  Please send them to school or bring them to church. If we collect enough, our school can get a free bench made from recycled plastic.

We have about 20 T-shirts left over from last weekend.  They are gray and feature the new school logo in blue.  We only have children’s sizes left:  S, M, L, but if you are interested, they are $10 and available in the office.  Students may wear them on spirit days or free dress days.  In September, free dress day is Sept. 11, and Spirit Day is Sept. 21.

Have a great weekend and enjoy this amazing weather!  Good luck to our Lady Crusaders at their softball tourney in Galatia tomorrow!

Peace and blessings,

Ms. Faye Myatt
